PHENIX CITY, Ala. -- Right-hander Breanna Cameron allowed just three hits, struck out 10 batters and didn't walk anyone as Chattahoochee Valley Community College (Ala.) blanked Gordon State College 3-0 in the first game of Sunday's softball doubleheader.

CVCC (6-0) remained undefeated by completing the sweep in Game 2 as the Pirates held on for a 7-6 win.

The good news from the week is that Faith Hager (Conyers, Ga. / Heritage HS) has been named the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA Region 17) Pitcher-of-the-Week for February 24.

Hager went 1-0 with 11 innings pitched, four runs allowed (two earned), 12 strikeouts, four walks and a 1.27 earned-run average in four games during the week.

Hager was also named GCAA Pitcher-of-the-Week for February 10 while teammate Bailey Odom (Danville, Ga. / Bleckley Co. HS) earned the honors for February 17.

In Game 1, GSC (3-9) could only generated a double and two singles against Cameron, who went the distance in the circle and faced only 27 batters.

Hailey Hooper (Monticello, Ga. / Piedmont Academy) had a double while Makenzie English (Williamson, Ga. / Pike Co. HS) and Taylor McClendon (McDonough, Ga. / Ola HS) each had a single.

CVCC had eight hits and took advantage of two GSC errors to plate single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings en route to the victory.

Game 2 saw CVCC race out to a 7-0 lead with a six-run second inning and a single run in the third.

GSC got back in the game in the fifth with five runs to cut the CVCC lead to 7-5 and got another run in the seventh, but fell a run short of tying it up.

Breanna Lee (Concord, Ga./ Pike Co. HS) had a big day at the plate for GSC with a 3-for-4 performance that included a homerun and two RBI.

Brandi Williams (Dawsonville, Ga. / Dawson Co. HS) added two hits and Claire Williams (Conyers, Ga. / Heritage HS) blasted a solo homer -- her first round-tripper of the season -- for the Highlanders.

GSC is scheduled to host Wallace State Community College-Hanceville (Ala.) on Tuesday in a doubleheader that starts at 2 p.m. ET.
